National Wendy's Commercial
Click above to hear regular folks speaking poetically about burgers
If you watch a lot of football, or if you watched the Muppets Christmas Special like I did, you may have seen this commercial. If not, you can see it on YouTube! If so, you can still see it on YouTube! Thanks so much to everyone who wrote and said they saw it! When I was waiting for mine to come out, I found other Wendy’s commercials for it to look up to:
Banned. Old. Classic.

I updated my YouTube channel and my website videos with my McDonalds Tour webisodes, my commercials, and films I've edited. Each site has some treats that the other doesn't, so you can look at both!
New York Fringe Festival
Refugee Girls Revue
I had the best time ever being in this show!!! Refugee Girls Revue is a musical parody of The American Girl Doll franchise, with Refugees instead of historical American characters. Its dark and it's funny. Jena Friedman, (friend, improviser, and stand-up comedian) wrote it and Scott Illingworth, (new friend, hilarious, a rarity) directed. Comedy is usually a boy's club, so I'm used to hanging out with guys, which I enjoy, but this show consisted of 10 friendly, giddy, hysterical girls and 1 wonderfully comfortable and laugh-out-loud funny guy. The energy at rehearsals was like if we were ADD bouncy balls and/or singing popcorn kernels that were exposed to heat and were exploding. And sexay! (That's why Jena writes and I don't.) We got great reviews and industry attendance, and appreciated getting to perform in NYC! We are also grateful to the Lakeshore Theatre in Chicago for hosting our preview parties! I live in New York City!
If you can make it here, God bless ya, I found a $12 box of cereal!
Shane and I moved here at the end of December. We love Chicago, and I hope to soon be near family in L.A., but we were inspired to move out here to work on a giddy film with some giddy friends. We'll also be working on two web series, comedy videos, a play, and trying to get talent agents, but first...
Please keep us in your prayers. I fell on black ice four hours after we left Chicago and hurt my spine! I've found a great chiropractor, but healing takes time. Please pray and send good vibes that my spine will be healthy and happy soon.
Despite the hard times, our spirits are still up! It's nice to be in a new invigorating city, with great friends, family, and projects around. Also, the weather here is warmer than Chicago, so February was a picnic 40 degrees instead of the skin-cracking negative 14 we are used to! I hope and pray that you all are doing amazingly and finding passion, free stuff, and laughter during this recession.
Comedy Central Fosters Beer Videos
Click the beers for videos!
One of my ol' bosses called looking for 4 male improvisers to be in Foster's Beer webisodes. And after living in Chicago for five years doing comedy, all I know is male improvisers who would be good at making beer webisodes! I rounded up some of the most talented fellas I know and one of my groups won, yay!
CONGRATULATIONS to The Jerks! That’s the name of their comedy group, not an adjective i chose to describe them. :)Nick Ehart, Jamie Hoggson, Pat Reidy, and Nick Murawski are on the Foster's website AND one of their webisodes will also be on the COMEDY CENTRAL website! I'm completely freaking out for them! Click the green can above, and on the Fosters site, to watch the hilarity.
I helped The Blub Bros. with their audition as their camera "man" and editor. I love editing, it challenges my timing skills in a new way. We didn't win, but we had fun! The video features Seth Williams, Mike Balzer, and Shane Portman. Great job guys!
My Runner Up Favorite was done by Two Rude Dudes: Mort Burke, Forest Hynes, and Mikey Manker. They crack me up! If you like what you see, there is more on their YouTube channel!
The link above was the Jerk's Secret Weapon to winning, or at least it got them to be noticed. Brilliant!
Look at Daddy!
The Tucson Symphony Musician Spotlight of the month is about my dad! The interview is a beautiful look at all the wonderful things he has accomplished as a trombone player, teacher, artist, and father. They capture him so vividly I can even hear him laugh as they describe it. I love you, Papa!
Click the pic above to see all of the groups, their funny audition videos, and videos they already had up their sleeves. Good times at that link. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the groups who slaved away to be a part of this!!!
Making the Man

A funny short film, starring my friend, Matt Bible, is screening at the Durango Independent Film Festival in Colorado on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 at 9:00pm. I’m a supporting character in the film, to which I arrived by walking an hour through a blizzard, and then sat for seven hours locked in a room with 20 other girls. Despite all that, we had the best time at the shoot and I’m so proud of how far this film has come!
