![]() Two of my favorite people in LA are Dana Weddle and Michael Dalke. They are funny, truthful, fearless, and can sing the hogs out of the hills! (Is that a thing?) They raised over $4,000 on Kickstarter (see below) to make their dream of performing the musical The Last Five Years come true! They brought in Kirk Mason and I to give notes close to opening and it felt wonderful to get to help direct the show! They are truly gifted. ![]() I had my first feature film debut- not really :) I'm in a photo in the movie, ha! But the cool part is, our friend, Chelsea Peters, produced the feature, Ritual, and it was bought by Lionsgate! And now it's available on DVD through Redbox, Netflix, Target, iTunes, Wal-mart, and Best Buy to name a few. Please check it out if you get a chance! We're so proud of her! PS- IT'S SCARY. If you are too scared to watch it, but still want to see my "performance", here it is: I was soulfully excited to get to do another play in da Burgh, the city where I went to college and is home to some sweet long-time friends. I'm smitten with this historical little town that has a pride as deep as the city is beautiful, a dialect as unique as it hilarious, and a theatre scene that is as rich as it is loving. Thank you to the community there for your open arms and laughter-filled hearts.
As the title makes clear, there was a lot of cursing in the show. But it was also super funny and had some serious heart going on. I got to play a Puerto Rican New Yorker cocaine addict alcoholic who hit someone in the face with a stick ball bat. It was more complex than that, but all of those things are fun to say and true. I loved working on it!!! The Pittsburgh Post Gazette named the show 3rd Best Theater Production for all of 2013! And mentioned Patrick Jordan (in the first pic) as one of the Best Actors of 2013, myself as one of the Best Actresses and our five person cast as one of the Best Ensembles! That feels nice. And best of all, the other actress in the show, Daina Griffith, won Performer of the Year for her genius work in the seven plays she did this year! Read the article in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette |
