Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups to Tell

My fiance, the kind and wise Shane Portman, wrote a book of short stories, Allister Cromley's Fairweather, Belle Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups to Tell, that is being self-published through Amazon.com. I designed the layout of the book and the cover!

We're raising money for a two-part marketing campaign, to acquire online advertising for the book... and to market a new Allister podcast!

So we made this video as part of an Indiegogo fundraising campaign. I assistant directed with director Baby John Alsop and did some editing too. Hope you enjoy it!

About the book...

These sepia-tinted short stories follow a malleable character on his journey through the early 20th century to find the simple answers to the big questions and the complex answers to the small.

Slices of fantasy and ordinary-ness, the stories taste a bit like Jim Henson's Storyteller Series- if they were told by Thurber or Marx (Harpo, that is). And, what's more, there is a plan sewn into the title, to encourage Grownups to read aloud to each other like our parents did to us in our childhood.
